Cenote El Pit

One of the deepest and most dramatic cenotes on the Riviera Maya, going down to 119 metres. It is famous for the column of light that pierces the water, for its halocline — where fresh and salt water meet — and for a cloud of hydrogen sulphide at about 30 metres that looks like fog underwater. Recommended for advanced or technical divers, it is one of the most striking cenote dives in the world.

Cavern

Cenote Tak Be Luum

Less known, and so less touched, this cenote lies in the Dos Ojos park area. It offers cavern passages with well-preserved formations, calm water and a more intimate dive, since it sees fewer visitors. Ideal if you want to explore cenotes off the busiest routes.

Cenote Tak Be Ha

A cave system with wide chambers, sharply defined stalactites and stalagmites, and a strong halocline that blurs the view where fresh and salt water mix. Calm and never crowded, it is ideal for certified divers looking for spectacular formations.

Cavern

Cenote Dos Ojos

One of the most famous flooded cave systems in the world: two connected cenotes that, seen from above, look like a pair of eyes. Its cavern routes, such as “The Barbie Line” and “The Bat Cave”, run through crystal-clear water with more than 30 metres of visibility, past striking stalactites and ancient rock formations. The open areas are about 10 metres deep at most. It belongs to the longest underwater cave system in the world, some 369 kilometres of it. An excellent choice if you have never dived a cenote before.
